Michael Concannon is Vice President of Technology at American Express, where he oversees Blockchain and Robotics Process Automation. A technologist at heart, Michael has a history in digital media, e-commerce, and emerging tech. Before American Express, he served as CTO with the video-sharing website Vimeo and the Amazon subsidiary, Quidsi. He developed the e-commerce systems for Barnes & Noble during the company’s growth and expansion into digital books and the web and commerce platform for over 500 artist websites at Sony Music Entertainment. Michael holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. Outside of programming, Michael’s interests include fatherhood, rugby, Arduinos, 3D modelling, woodworking, and scuba diving.
