PRAKASH KOTA, is Autodesk’s Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for Autodesk’s global infrastructure, enterprise operations, and workforce collaboration and productivity services. Millions of Autodesk customers around the world depend on Autodesk products for their business livelihood. Kota’s team ensures they have access to their products and entitlements in a reliable, resilient, and highly available environment.
Kota has led several successful initiatives that strengthened Autodesk’s core business operations making it agile, cost effective, and stable. He transformed his teams from an engineering and operations focus into end-to-end service oriented teams that deliver value faster to business units. He is passionate about the digital transformation of Autodesk and aligning the employee and customer experience. He has accelerated this transformation for employees by providing IT services on demand through a self-service portal and also through the implementation of modern cloud employee collaboration and productivity tools. He has redefined IT Operations for the digital agenda to enhance operational agility and accelerate the transformation of IT and business processes.
He has introduced automation services such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and most recently robotic process automation which has led to savings, increased productivity, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.Kota has been with Autodesk for 11+ years and has held many roles within IT including, Director DevOps, Sr. Director of Enterprise Operations, and Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations. He Holds a master’s degree in computer science from Oklahoma State University, and a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication from the University of Madras
